Mercury Scholarship in Data Analysis

Mercury Ltd. established this scholarship in 2024 to support and encourage data science or data modelling students enrolled in New Zealand universities who are interested in areas of relevance to Mercury. 

To support graduate students undertaking a research project in either data science or data modelling, or another similar discipline of study.  Mercury wishes to support candidates who able to undertake a research project, working with Mercury on tracking, measuring and analysing data across the Health and Safety component of their business.  Where possible, summer internship opportunities may be offered to scholarship recipients.

Eligibility

Applications will be accepted from applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Are full-time students about to undertake a research project or dissertation in one of the following disciplines:
  • Data Science 
  • Data Modelling 
  • Project Management
  • Other disciplines of relevance.

Value and number awarded.

One scholarship will be offered at a value of $15,000 per annum.
