Mercury Scholarship in Engineering

Mercury Ltd. established this scholarship in 2024 to support and encourage engineering students enrolled in New Zealand universities who are interested in areas of relevance to Mercury. 

To support graduate students undertaking a research project engineering, or another similar discipline of study.  Where possible, summer internship opportunities may be offered to scholarship recipients.

Eligibility

Applications will be accepted from applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Full-time students enrolled or enrolling in their second year of B.Eng. (Hons) in the following engineering disciplines:
  - Mechanical
  - Electrical
  - Chemical
  - Mechatronics
  - Project Management

Value and number awarded.

Three scholarships will be offered at a value of $5,000 per annum. With one awarded in each of the following categories:

• Female 
• Māori or Pacific
• from, or currently residing in Waikato or Bay of Plenty Region
