Council of Aotearoa New Zealand University Libraries (CONZUL)
The Council of Aotearoa New Zealand University Libraries (CONZUL) is the peak body for academic libraries in Aotearoa. As a collective CONZUL provides a national perspective and expertise related to university libraries.
CONZUL:
- Commits to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through partnership with tangata whenua, to support Māori education and research.
- Acts collectively to enhance the value and capacity of our university libraries.
- Boldly leads and innovates in the delivery of services and facilities for our communities.
- Creates environments that enable our communities to build and share knowledge that has real-world impact.

Open Access
Universities New Zealand—Te Pōkai Tara has released an Open Access Statement on behalf of New Zealand's eight universities. It acknowledges the rights of Māori and other indigenous groups to determine the appropriate avenues for their data, and sets out the determination of member universities to continue to pursue open access.
