DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Scholarship

Eligibility 

Graduates of all disciplines can apply for a scholarship to complete a postgraduate or master's degree course at a German higher education institution and to gain a degree in Germany (master's/diploma).

Duration

10–24 months.

Support

Monthly stipend (EUR 750) plus travel grant.

Application deadline

15 October each year for a period beginning in either April or October the following year.

Further requirements

New Zealand applicants for study scholarships are generally expected to be able to prove they have a basic knowledge of German at the time of application unless they are applying for a programme taught in English.

Nominations made to DAAD committee in Bonn in November. Final decisions made in Germany the following year.
